Getting started with in-home care through your VA benefits is a straightforward process. Here's what to expect.
Talk to Your VA Care Team
Start by speaking with your VA primary care provider or VA social worker about needing in-home care support.
Request VA Community Care
Ask to receive services through the VA Community Care Network and request Carter's Confident Care as your in-home care provider. You can also call 1-888-493-3260 to request VA Community Care.
VA Sends Authorization
Once approved, the VA sends an authorization directly to Carter's Confident Care so services can be coordinated and started.
We Contact You to Get Started
Once we receive your VA authorization, our team will reach out to you directly. We'll review your needs, explain available services, answer any questions, and coordinate a care schedule that works for you and your family.
Receive Care at Home
Our trained caregivers provide dependable in-home support, including personal care, companionship, homemaking, and respite services. Care is delivered with dignity, respect, and an understanding of the unique needs of veterans.
